The Qualifications Behind Our 96% Bid Success Rate

The Qualifications Behind Our 96% Bid Success Rate

At WeBid Consult, qualifications are at the heart of everything we do. They shape how we approach each submission, guide the way we interpret client requirements and play a vital role in achieving our 96% bid success rate.

We understand that successful bidding requires more than strong writing. It relies on recognised knowledge, technical credibility and the ability to present clear, accurate responses that align with buyer expectations.

From project management and environmental strategy to digital delivery and health and safety, our consultants hold recognised certifications that give evaluators confidence in the submissions we support. These qualifications allow us to respond to even the most complex requirements with structure, insight and precision.

Here are some of our most recent certifications and how they strengthen the work we deliver.

APM – Project Management Certification

Effective project management is essential for coordinating complex bids and meeting tight deadlines. Several of our consultants are certified by the Association for Project Management, including Samantha Hilton, Laura Ford and Colin Ormond Campbell. Their expertise ensures consistent planning, efficient delivery and structured coordination throughout the bidding process.

BIM (ISO 19650) Certification

Digital delivery is a core strength at WeBid. Bid Director Richard Hilton is certified in ISO 19650 Essentials, the international standard for Building Information Modelling. This enables him to manage digital information requirements and align proposals with BIM protocols, which is vital for complex engineering and construction projects.

Chartered Accountant (ICAEW)

Commercial credibility is key to a strong bid. Consultant Peter Bull is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in corporate finance. His input helps us develop accurate pricing models, justify value for money and deliver robust financial risk assessments.

Health and Safety Training and Certifications

We hold recognised health and safety certifications that support confident, well-informed responses aligned with industry standards. These include:

IOSH Managing Safely, held by Joanne Bull and Colin Ormond Campbell, enabling us to describe practical, project-specific approaches to managing risk.
RoSPA approved training, completed by Samantha Hilton, Natalie Boyes, Joanne Bull and Laura Ford, helping us incorporate effective risk control measures into method statements and delivery plans.
Health and Safety for Managers, completed by Samantha Hilton, Joanne Bull, Laura Ford, Colin Ormond Campbell and Peter Bull, ensuring we can clearly set out safety responsibilities and legal obligations across a range of sectors.

These qualifications support our ability to write clearly and credibly about safe project delivery, from CDM compliance to workforce risk management, giving evaluators confidence in our clients’ capability.

HNC in Construction and the Built Environment

Our Rail Director, Natalie Boyes holds an HNC in Construction and the Built Environment, providing a strong technical foundation alongside her 20 years of industry experience. This qualification supports her ability to interpret design information, understand site requirements and ensure our construction and rail bids reflect practical buildability, planning and programme insight.

IEMA – Environmental Management Certification

Sustainability is a growing priority across both public and private sector tenders. Business Development Director James Allan is IEMA certified and leads on environmental input across our submissions. Laura Ford also holds IEMA accreditation. Together, they ensure our bids address environmental criteria with clarity, accuracy and credible evidence, from net zero commitments to circular economy strategies.

Project 13 Membership

Peter Bull is a member of Project 13, a UK infrastructure initiative led by the Institution of Civil Engineers. The programme promotes collaborative, value led delivery models. His involvement helps us align infrastructure bids with evolving procurement practices and embed best practice across complex, multi stakeholder projects.

Mental Health First Aiders

Supporting people is just as important as delivering projects. Joanne Bull and Laura Ford are trained Mental Health First Aiders. This informs the way we write about wellbeing in the workplace, helping us shape practical and relevant responses that reflect modern expectations around mental health and inclusive team culture.

NEC4 Accredited Trainer

Managing Director Steph Yeadon is a qualified NEC4 Accredited Trainer. Her expertise ensures our bids are aligned with the expectations and structure of NEC4 contracts, especially in relation to collaboration, performance management and contract compliance, areas increasingly scrutinised in public sector procurement.

Construction Site Safety – CITB SMSTS and CSCS

Natalie Boyes holds CITB SMSTS certification and a CSCS card. These credentials give her first hand insight into safe site management and support the development of detailed, credible responses to CDM requirements, construction phase planning and site based risk controls.

CPD Certification

Operations Director Samantha Hilton is CPD certified in bid and proposal management. Her commitment to continuous development helps ensure our approach remains aligned with current best practice and industry standards.

BRE Golden Thread Digital Safety Module

This specialist training enhances our ability to respond to emerging client requirements around asset data, traceability and post occupancy safety management.
