Hello October! As we embark on a new month and step firmly into Autumn, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to one of our exclusive WeBid Consult Ltd. team members.
Today we meet our Quality Director, Jessica Allan. Jess is methodical, with an eye for detail. She is a systematic and critical thinker, known for her focus on quality and ability to create bespoke bid strategies which align to the specific drivers of the project and client.
Fun Fact – Jess is the bidding world’s answer to Indiana Jones! Not only has she studied Archaeological Science at university, she has also travelled the world in pursuit of daredevil adventures which include:
- Swimming with a whale shark on the West Coast of Australia
- Great white shark cage diving near Cape Town, Africa
- Swimming with turtles near Lombok, Indonesia
- White water rafting on a Grade 5 river in Zambezi, Africa
- Sky diving in New Zealand
Jess applies her fearless personality and meticulous attention to detail to her role as Quality Director, engaging our subject matter experts to constructively challenge solutions and extract proposals and evidence into a compelling, cohesive submission which aligns to the evaluation criteria.
Jess is also responsible for developing and maintaining our quality and bid management procedures and provides training to continually improve our performance.
Jess brings 12 years’ experience working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK, including High Speed Two, Lower Thames Crossing, and the A303 Stonehenge. She applies transferable skills from her Bachelor of Science degree, including thorough research and analysis of large, complex tenders to extract key information and identify wider project, client, and geopolitical drivers to develop bespoke win themes.
Jess is in constant demand for our highest-profile bids across major civils, rail, healthcare, highways, and nuclear sectors. She also provides a ‘bid interrogator’ service which includes mock evaluations and feedback or editing to enhance clients’ evaluation scores.
